STORY
This was a 24 hours hackathon organized from Techfugees, Facebook, Unicef and Codemotion on March 31st in the Luiss Enlab Campus in Rome, Italy.
Once I proposed a raw idea to practitioners, 4 great developers, excited to take part to the challenge, decided to join me.
HACKATHON CHALLENGES:
The brief of this hackaton was about the overcoming of cultural barriers, the better flow of information to migrants but also about them to communities to foster integration initiatives.
UX Solution
We designed, through a user-centric approach, an app that offers an opportunity of social integration, meanwhile provides:
Starving refugees with a tool that help them to locate donor;
Donor a tool to avoid small or massive waste of food;
Cultural integration from all the fronts.
Refood interface allow to navigate solutions from both side donor and refugees. A trust source of recommendations curated and validated in advance. Refood will also facilitate to locate the donor of products by providing maps of searched meal.
